I won't say I told you so.

Sketch of a buddy.

You keepin' posted?

I'm about to make history.

This is my first blog post in well over a year. Just to make sure you guys are paying attention. Good things are in the works and well on the way. Like 8-month old pre-babies. Animations (in coordination with this guy), new illustration work, a new WEBSITE (hallelujah), and a new blog at ScratchPadTales.blogspot.com, which you would be a doing yourself a disservice if you didn't check it out.

Good things are coming down the tube/pipe/railway/waterslide/laundry shute.

Check back soon.

A month later, what I've been up to lately.

O Ex Morte Vita, how you have come and gone. Quickly too. This was one of the two pieces that I contributed to the show...the other one needs work still, I've decided. Namely, color. This is called Adam Bomb. Get it? *nudge nudge*

And then yesterday I went back and worked on a piece that I did about 2 years ago that I was really just about completely unhappy with. So I went back, edited out the crappy parts, created some good parts, photoshopped them in, and now it's quite look-atable.

In an effort to keep updating this on a regular basis...

MARIACHI CACTI!

It's not done yet quite, but we're moving in that direction.

The Battle of the Bulge is on The Weather Channel

So I'm at home. In the living room; brother's in his bedroom and I can hear him snoring from down the hall. He's back in school now and I'm glad for him for that. He's needed either change or something that resembled a forward movement for some time.

I'm not real sure why I decided to come home today. I thought that it might have been a prompting by the Spirit, but I'm not real sure. I haven't asked. Maybe I should.

I've been attempting to put out a few portfolio-worthy things lately.

A western town...

which was done for this...

I'm just kind of disappointed that the powerline and its lights were forced to disappear for the most part...

Two posts in one day? Unheard of.

This has been a productive day for me and in a not-tiring way, either...which is sort of like the best of both worlds. Now all that's left to do is to produce some sleep. :)

I've been reading a couple of books lately...one is a book that I started reading a while back but never finished for whatever reason called Scribbling in the Sand...it's about creativity and God. The other book is called Understanding Comics, which I stole from the Cardigan. So um..yeah, Stephen, I have your book. At least I'm assuming it's yours. I'll bring it back when I come up in a couple weeks.

and THAT book's got me thinking about a lot of stuff that I'll be working on at some point and also has me reading another book (at my sister's suggestion, who would normally be the last person to suggest a comic book for me to read), and that book is Maus. I look forward to reading it more.

And yes, I know I said I was only reading a couple, but I meant that by reading a couple, it has me reading a third.

Ok, so Jared, you commented on this being in my sketchbook, and I told you that I worked it out a little more OUTSIDE the sketchbook, and today I worked on it a little more. I think it needs to be a scene of sorts, but I'll work that out later.

Also, in my productive day, I learned how to make sure that the images are clickable and biggable (and in some cases more sensical and amusical).
